Laura is a professional singer whose sound is filled with warmth and sincerity. She has sung at over 100 weddings and enjoys helping couples plan music that reflects their style. Classically trained - yet still a lover of pop, folk, Celtic, jazz and big band - Laura sings all styles with her heart and soul and can provide professional accompaniment (piano and guitar) upon request. She is also comfortable singing Catholic Mass parts.

Laura holds a degree in Vocal Music Education from Lawrence University, Appleton, WI and has taught music in the Appleton Area School District for twenty one years. She's also established a private voice studio in her home, where for twenty years her teaching style inspires confidence while teaching stage presence, increased vocal range and diction. She has directed many musicals in Appleton as well as the Adult Choir in Xavier's Christmas Stars.

In her personal voice career, Laura has sung with The White Heron Chorale/New Voices for over twenty five years and was a soloist in that group as well as in the Celtic group, Danu, at the Performing Arts Center in Appleton. She has been in two Attic Theater productions playing Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music and a soloist in the Gershwin Review. She will be singing in Attic’s Celebration of 70 Years of Musicals in August, 2020. She has also sung throughout Europe in a statewide chorus and was a featured soloist on the tour.

Since her retirement from Appleton Area School District, Laura has created a Music Hospice Program at Cherry Meadows Hospice which has greatly enriched her life. She also is co founder of a jazz band called Afterglow, which specializes in the songs from the 1940’s and 1950’s. In summers, she is a soloist in the Little Chute Jazz Band.

With her singing, teaching and performing abilities combined, Laura is confident she will be the perfect musical addition to your wedding. She also sings at funerals and other musical occasions.
